Yeah, you can really work with ISO 1600 if you get the exposure right:

My uncle use shoot ISO 1600 tansparency like it 400 amd then develop process get grain like size kiwi fruits.

Film grain old friend. What they say, noise, just new friend. May be, just different acsent. May be, new language.
