How does this work with the A710IS? Anyone have any reviews for my specific cam?

How exactly does it work? can this flash be put beside the cam about 5 feet away? does it have to be facing a certain way? How exactly does it get triggered.. I dont understand it really... Do you need to the shutter speed set at a lower speed for it to work right?

Thanks

It works as a slave flash that is triggered by your camera's flash. I don'y have one but I have a Sunpak Digital Flash that works the same way. As long as the slave flash can sense the camera's flash it will fire. So that means it can basically be placed anywhere in the room within range of the onboard flash.
