actually if I'm reading the instructions correctly, I would still be eligible for the double rebate as long as I submit the info exactly the same.

I made the phone call to Canon, so this is fact.

You can submit as many single item rebates you want within the proper time frame.

The trick to getting the double rebate is to submit two different items eligible for rebate at the same time, therefore, if you buy two items for rebate at the same time, and then buy another item, that "third" item is only eligible for a single rebate, unless you buy another rebatable item before submitting the "third" for rebate.

Actually you can still get the double rebate if decide to purchase another item after you already have sent in a rebate claim. According to the "FAQ" section of the rebate website it states:

"Q. What if I already sent in my claim form and I buy a product which would double the rebate value on the item?

A. Submit your second (or third, fourth, etc.) claim form(s) with the exact same customer information and we will automatically calculate your total savings. If the information is not exactly the same, we will be unable to recognize that the claims are from the same customer and total value will not be calculated."

It's interesting I called Canon as well and they told me know, the products had to be bought at the same time.

I just checked and the rebate form has the same info as the website "FAQ's" section. The rebate form states:

" Products comprising double rebate offer maybe submitted separately (see claim form instructions), however, all customer information provided for the initial rebate MUST match exactly the customer information provided on the subsequent rebate submissions. Failure for the information to match exactly will result in the second submission being
treated as a first, or initial rebate, and the double rebate will not be issued."

So, I believe you will not lose the double rebate as long as you submit your name and address exactly the same on both forms.

I pointed that out to them and they kept saying sorry. I don't know what the deal is , I guess I can try to raise a stink to get the double.

It seems to me like I should be able to.
