I only use SanDisk Ultra II. A good price/performance/capacity point for me has been their 2GB cards. There are other good cards out there, but I settled on the Sandisk after to talking to friends and reading these forums.

I shoot weddings RAW, and wanted a reliable brand name card to do the job, that would also allow me to sleep at night.:D The prices have also come day with all the holiday sales. I recently purchased a couple of them from Frys.com for $37.95 ea. Not bad for a card that used to list for $119.95. - Stu

There is a theme running here. SanDisk Ultra II.

Yes there are other cards that will be fractionally faster, but the cost add is way more than the performance increase.
Additionally, the SanDisk Ultra II is extremely reliable and perfectly suited to your camera.

RiData RiTEK 4GB 150x CF card for $65-68 (AR from NewEgg). You have to be persistent about their rebates their cards are good but their rebate process is very sneaky.

I wonder how long I have to hang out on POTN before I get as good as Ansel Adams ?

Are you confident that a 4 gig card will work in a Rebel XT?

Thanks

4 gigs work in the xt. I too use the Ultra II's. anything more and the only difference you will notice is when you are using them in a card reader.
