Check out the thread seven above this one ... and weep!
Only the uneducated and uninformed buy cheap 'budget' cards to go in their cameras.
And I know there are thousands out there that have done just that and had no problem - yet!!!
Be sensible and stick with the brand leader - Sandisk.
I agree with 'Billginthekeys' an Ultra II 2gb is probably all you will ever need
You bought the best camera - now go buy the best card to store your images on.
Happy snapping...

mooseketeer, linky no worky, you must have pasted from another thread.

I've had really good luck with my 80x Lexar 1GB, I'd think that the faster 133X stuff should be as good or better.

the best would probably be the Sandisk Extreme IV
you dont really need one of these though
A sandisk Ultra II will work just as well .
I have used both Lexar professional and Sandisk Ultra II in my XT (350d) and not had any problems with either

I agree.
I have the 2GB 150x Pro version and agree, excellent price, totally reliable for a thousand or so shots so far, and extremely fast.

I have been using PQI memory chips for last 3 years (PC memory, notebook memory, SD cards, CF cards). NEVER had a problem. In my Rebel XT, I used PQI 1GB 40x and 60x. Worked flaslessly. Currently, I use PQI 2GB 100x without any problems in my 30D. The memories have very high reviews at newegg and the price is very good. I got my 2GB 100x at newegg for $42, including shipping. + it comes with Lifetime Warranty.

I know, the Pros will go with Sandisk, but for people that don`t wanna pay the Premium, I think this is a good choice.

Everything is a question of the time and will.
