I have been researching a Mk II N,5D,and 30D recently and have wanted to see their respective frame rates.I was wondering if anyone out there has a link or has photos themselves that show a sequence of each cameras fps being used i.e. runners, football, watersports, birds, planes etc ?I found a site not too long agao but couldnt remember where or what I typed to find it.
Any help would be great.

those cameras are 8.5, 3, and 5fps respective to the order you have them listed, I'm sure there are sequences here but those are going to vary alot of the speed of the target and whatnot, there is also a link around here that is a recording of the shutter sound and speed, once you hear the MkII N you'll want one, it's a machine gun.

Yeah thats what I was wondering,if there might be any links on here.I was just hoping someone could post a link for me.As for the speed I would think its not that hard to tell how fast the object is moving accoring the the action thats taking place i.e. racing as opposed to football or basketball. And I can only imagine the sound of the 8.5.Ive went to the local photo store(EppersonPhoto) and they had both the 30D and 5D.Even though I liked the 5Ds images and clarity and weight for that matter, the 3fps was s bit of a turn off.I need speed for speed. And when I heard the 30D i was impressed and asked if they had the Mk2N demo they said no.CURSES!!!,lol.

One thing to keep in mind, is unless you know what you are doing, you could have like around 20 photos out of focus if you do 8.5 fps.

wow thanks for that link.Impressive and having a understanding from occasionaly watching winter olympics that the speed in which a skater rotates is pretty fast.

Very true. But I wouldn't know anything about that.

Well, I imagine the 5D at 3fps would be like the 1d series except only every 3rd frame or so. It's a generalization but you get the idea.
