It's a great composition shot. I wish I could identify the sparrows more easily. They all look alike to me. :)

They can be a challenge. The song sparrow is really common around these parts. I look for the mottled chest and the upswung tail feathers.

I have a challenge with the white crowned, golden crowned, white throated, etc, etc, etc!

It's more of what you see in focus. It's a marshy area with lots of cattails. It's flat so there is lots of open space as well.
