In congress, one of the bills we discussed was Annexing Canada. It was pretty interesting. Of course somebody HAS to represent the bill.

I thought the UK had already annexed USA? So what gives you guys the right to annex Candida without our say so? Don't we already 'own' Candida anyway?

Kid, that kinda pubescent talking has been relatively common in the Yank Yank Land ever since we kicked your bald fat a$$es in 1812 and then some.

I'll try to put it in very simple, grade 12 level words for ya: you Yanks start to squawk too much, we shut off the supply of fresh water and bald eagles to ya. Comprende ?

Not only the fresh water but we can cut off the cheap electricity and charge high rates for the use of the Seaway.

Canada is a country now ? When did that happen ?;) I thought it just our back yard. But don't worry, If the French ever end their occupation, we'll take you in.:p
All in good fun. I used to live in Saskatoon. We still describe it as 10 months of winter and 2 months of poor sledding.

No, not that! Can't you just burn down our White House again instead?

Ah, but we, in Iowa, will shut off the Mississippi Flyway and they will never return to Canada.;)

President George Bush was in the Oval Office wondering which country to invade next, when his telephone rang.

"Hallo, President Bush" a heavily accented voice said. "This is Adrian Hawlo, up 'ere at the Harp Seal Pub in Badger's Cove, Newfoundland. Canada, eh?

"I am callin' to tells ya dat we are officially declaring war on you, eh!"

"Well Adrian ," George replied, "This is indeed important news! How big is your Newfie army?"

"Right now," said Adrian , after a moment's calculation "there is myself, me cousin Harold, me next-door-neighbor Mick, and the whole dart team from the pub. That makes eight!"

George paused. "I must tell you Adrain, that I have ONE MILLION men in my army waiting to move on my command."

"Holy jeez," said Adrian. "I'll have ta call ya back!"

Sure enough, the next day, Adrain called again. "Mr. Bush, the war is still on! We have managed to acquire some infantry equipment!"

"And what equipment would that be Adrain?", George asked.

"Well sir, we have two combines, a bulldozer, 3 fishing boats, 2 harpoon boats, a trawler with radar and Harry's farm tractor."

President Bush sighed. "I must tell you Adrian Hawco, that I have 6,000 tanks and 14,000 armoured personnel carriers. Also I've increased my army to one and a half million since we last spoke."

"Lard T'underin' Jaysus, bye", said Adrian, "I'll be getting back to ya."

Sure enough, Adrian rang again the next day. "President Bush, the war is still on! We have managed to git ourselves airborne! We up an' modified Harrigan's ultra-light wit a couple of shotguns in the cockpit, and four byes from the Bobcaygeon Legion have joined us as well!"

George was silent for a minute then cleared his throat. "I must tell you Adrian that I have 10,000 bombers and 20,000 fighter planes. My military complex is surrounded by laser-guided, surface-to-air missile sites. And since we last spoke, I've increased my army to TWO MILLION!"

"Jeysus, Mary and Joseph," said Adrian , "I'll have ta call youse back. I've got to check with Gerry Talyor and Joe Pollard"

Sure enough, Adrian called again the next day. "President Bush! I am sorry to have to tell you dat we have had to call off dis 'ere war."

"I'm sorry to hear that" said George. "Why the sudden change of heart?"

"Well, sir," said Adrian, "we've all sat ourselves down and had a long chat over a bunch of pints, and come to realize dat dere's no way we can feed two million prisoners."

You couldn't afford our health care system:lol: Every one else would want the same coverage.

Besides. we like Cuba. I'd fight just to keep the cigars

Last time we quit fighting as we got so far down south, our beer was getting too warm  though burning the White House again would certainly win us some points in other parts of the world.

Of course that fact we have oil, diamonds and gold must be pretty tempting

You guys are great.

It's supposed to be a very serious event, one "senator" brought in an amendment to the bill that stated we should annex Canada with the exception of Quebec.

I know a lot of people who would support the other way around

There are times I think the US could use a state like Quebec to keep them on their toes. They would balance off the Left Coast quite nicely.

Actually. I'm surprised any US Senator was knowledgeable of the issues in Canada.

By the way, have you heard the line:

Canada is bigger and we are on top! If this were prison, you'd be our bi**h

During the event did he get nominated for "twit of the year"?
