yeah i did, it was pretty dark in the house. and the light they did have was making all the pictures turn out really orange without the flash.

Pics look good. It looks like you did a good job with challenging lighting conditions.
However I would like to point out that except for the pics of mother and child, they seem to be posing for you which wouldn't make them 'Candid'.


Nothing inspires creativity like a new camera!!!:)

haha, your right. i noticed that once i started picking the pictures that i wanted to post. although they were pretty much like " hey guys, look!" then i took the picture. but thanks for the feed back.

About the "lights making things turn orange" you can adjust the whitebalance on your camera to compensates for that.

I tend to use "incandescent" as my default in indoor situations. If the lights are weird, though, you might have to do a custom white balance.

I love the smile in #2. People pay good money for shots like that!

Oh, don't worry about WB... Shoot RAW and change in the RAW viewer... MUCH easier.
