Hi there, I am working on my Music website and have come to the section where I put the bands etc into some sort of order.

The question I have is this

would you put "The Beach Boys" into the "T" section or the "B" section as Beach Boys, The

A lot of bands over here are called The........... and I dont know if I should put them into the T secion or the first letter of the rest of the bands name.

thanks.

If you go to music stores an look through the racks where they are in alphabetical order, The Beach Boys would be in the "B" section.

Okay, the best answer so far is 'Beach Boys, The.'

Now, would that be listed under Reggae or Gospel?

I think there usually is no period at the end of "The", but I could be wrong. My final answer is:

Beach Boys, in the Pop/Rock Music room, with "The". Did I solve the mystery?

I thought it stood for sumthin' else... ;)

Another vote for 'B'

I'm one of those 'sad gits' (usually men I gather ???) that organises my CD's A-Z (I've got literally hundreds), and anything with "The" at the beginning is basically 'stripped off' - The same applies to all my mp3/wma/mp4 files...

I really must get out more... :)
