I've purchased (well my mom has) a battery grip for my 350d (both are for xmas), and i was thinking.. will i need to buy two additional batteries or just one? As i wasnt too sure if the battery grip fits into where the standard battery goes, which would mean i only need one additional battery rather than 2.
Thanks for your time.

you have to remove the battery from the 350d, then remove the little door that holds the battery in place. then the battery grip fits inside the camera and secures from underneath. then you can use one or two batterys in the grip. beaware that if you use one battery it has to go in the slot that says one.

Like g_robins said, it will take one. It would make more sense to use 2 batterys, last twice as long. I have the original canon battery and 4 others. The others are in my opinion better, for a start there alot cheaper and mine are 1000mAh rather than the canons 720mAh. They can be charged off your charger. For some reason i never mix them in the battery grip. Not sure how much the canon battery is but i paid £10 each for the copies. ;) It will take 4xAA's as well.

Six AA’s actually.
They will not hold charge as long as two NB-2LHs, use them only in emergency..

What we see depends mainly on what we look for.

it actually does not matter which slot you use one battery in. you can only use one certain slot for the AC adapter kit.
