I took these pictures with a tripod and used the timer so the camera wouldn't shake when I snapped the picture. I think these have turned out better than my Top Secret G35 pictures. What do you all think? I think they're too dark. C&C is appreciated.

Why do i always have to be the bad guy? lol

There are a couple of key changes you can do to make these photos much better.
1. take it to a location other than a mundane parking lot
2. watch for poles growing out of the car
3. shoot with the light, and get as much of the car in similar light as possible.

I agree on the flash.

Couple of tips. Set your Fstop to apptox 7-9. Expose a little longer.
This will give you enough time for manual flash.
Go to a used store, and pick up an old $20 flash that can do multi-mode. While exposing, walk around the car, and flash the wheels and headlights, exposing the discs and giving you a little more shine.

Try to get some more space around the car. Parking spots are fine. (Natural habitat for a hard parker) But keep atleast a couple of empty spots behind the car to give you depth of field.

Well, yeah, it's in the DARK? ;)

When you have the time, here's another way to use low, but not as low light:
A few Car Lighting Tips

FrankC - 20D, RAW, Manual everything...
Classic Carz, Racing, Air Show, Flowers.
Find the light... A few Car Lighting Tips, and MOVE YOUR FEET!
Have you thought about making your own book? // Need an exposure crutch?
New Image Size Limits: Image must not exceed 1600 pixels on any side.
