I'm looking for a good wide angle lense that has at least a f/1.8, and i found these 3 Sigma lenses, and i'm wondering how each compares?

Why not consider a Canon lens as well?

I'd say that the 20mm would be the best bet for true wide angle on a 1.6x crop body. Though it still only gets you 32mm FF equivalent. The 28mm will be very close to being a standard lens on the 30D.

Cheers.

Myself, I tend toward the 20/1.8, because of it's wide focal and speed. Which no other can offer. But it must be usable wide open or at f/2. I've checked some review and it seems to vary from sample to sample.
And the lack of USM/HSM drive is a real set-back for me.

20mm=32mmFF, 24mm=38.4, 28=44.8, and 30=48. If you need wide angle, the best that can go f/1.8 probably has to be the 20mm. Anything above 40mm can't really be considered wide angle anymore. Though both the 20mm and the 24mm wide open are reputed to be very soft - a "dream-like blur" quoted by one reviewer, it's there when needed. For sharp landscapes, the lenses best operate at 2.8 or above.
