I was out today trying to get a photo of a Great Northern Diver and while it was proving elusive I took these.

More of the diver later - there were a lot of guys (all men!) looking for the diver and a bumped into Steve Young. Nice to meet someone who's book you have read!

Exellent series on the redshank, thanks for keeping the Exif data in the image.

These are very nice. I especially like the first shot, nice light hitting the bird. Well done.

I did use the 400 f5.6 - but I had a 1.4x attached as well. It is a tamron and retains the AF! ;)

Just before I took these it had been raining like there was no tomorrow. The sky then cleared and the sun came out. Very nice conditions after that.

Damain, I love the second redshank shot. The exposure is spot on. They're all keeper shots in my book.

All great but I like #2 the best. No shadows and sharp. The blue sky reflecting off the water really gives them all color and contrast. Very good!

Beautiful images. I especially like the first two. The reflection as well as the rings in the water makes for a very nice pair of shots. Good colors also. :)
