New A710 Broke :(

Well.. My new A710 is only 2 weeks old... and It just so happens that I had one to many drinks.. left the room for a minute and forgot my cam.. cam back and noticed a little crack in the side.. now my zoom button does not work at all..

I used all my money just to buy this cam and cant afford to get it fixed..

soooo depressed.... lol

:(

Did it not come with a warranty like my A700 did?

it has warrenty.. but it's considered misuse.. and they dont cover that :(

Put it on Ebay as a parts camera; you'll be surprised how much people will pay for it. Someone gave me $63 + $10 shipping for my A610 that was dropped on its lens, and I had made it perfectly clear that it was all messed up and would not operate (I showed a picture of the lens body permantly cocked at a 10 degree angle). And this was at a time when Circuit City was selling it for $200 new.

This might not be much concilation, but it's better than nothing.
