Pretty good, but I think you could have improved the series by kneeling or even lying down. The wide angle and height of the camera make it look like a toy in the first few shots. I like what you were trying to do with the backgrounds, but I would have preferred if you filled the frame a little more with WRX.

The first shot with the model needs a fill flash; she looks a little flat (the colors I mean!).

I can see that now...I was biased by the wide angles later on. However, I still think it looks like a toy. Now the culprit is the large backgrounds.

Backgrounds are there at customers request and to set mood. However i'm confused, are you suggesting i only get the car in the shots with no background at all?

No, that would be ridiculous. I'm just saying that the backgrounds in some shots (the metal looking garage door thingy and the train background) tend to dominate the shots, which takes the focus away from the car.

They're very sharp and colorful, I just don't like the composition on most of them. I feel like your standing up like a tin soldier taking the picture. I understand that this may be a result of the customer's request.

Zanio does a sheetmetal body good.

Love the 12-24mm shots.

The metal background i actually like, people usually do those garage door backgrounds or something with lines etc.. so i found a texture i liked and went with it.

As for the train, who else in here has a train going by in the background? I did it purely for the fact that i've personally never seen it done.

Don't take it the wrong way i'm all for constructive criticism.. and i agree that the train takes away from the subject a little bit, but i try to be a little different when i do things.

To each their own.

Yeah, i think it is personal taste, as I love to shoot cars and found your series here to be great! To me they did exactly what a car photo should...create desire/passion/excitement for a vehicle. I don't like asian cars at all. I spend all my time for German and Italian exotics. This is one of the only times I could see a picture of something like a WRX and say..."Wow...i'de love to be there with that car!" I think the job was accomplished well. I personally did not like the model shots, i thought those were the only downside. The vehicle solo ones were right on the money though for me!

I don't agree. To my mind the locations make these shots. They have style, and are well executed, bringing interest to the photo.

Based on your suggestions we would have just another ricer shot.
