Romy you continue to amaze me. Well done on the Crow. Amazing exposure, since the light is coming from above and your exposures appear perfect.

Excellent Work and excellent Phillipine Wild Birds Gallery; You need to try and get some shots of the Phillipine Eagle Pithecophaga jefferi,I know it's hard to do because they are critically endangered, you may never see one.

Well Romy you have answered a question for me, as i have been wondering about what this lens and a convertor might produce image wise.
I think i am going to have to start saving.

Brilliant, Romy!

Brian, bear in mind that Romy can produce shots of this quality with the 100-400mm + converter as well!

Dennis, I got lucky to get the exposure right on this bird. I was shooting ISO 800 and jpeg (this was taken before I started shooting 100% RAW), and there's very little I can do in PP to recover detail in the underparts if the exposure is so far off....;)

Liquidstone: I am considering the option of a 400 5.6 and Tamron 1.4 TC. Your picture, which is beautiful and sharp, would lead me to believe it is a winning combination. I am especially interested in whether or not you lose AF with the tc, and how fast the AF is is you are able to use it? Thanks.

Great capture - I have used this lens with a 1.4 tc but never got a flight shot this good.
