Just taken w/a p&s on a fam. trip to the zoo (yeah, I know they aren't great shots)...but some of my funniest Failure to Flight moments...

A little flightless waterfowl pretending to ignore this other bird who kept flying circles around him...like "can ya see what I'm doin', can ya, can ya?"

Snir, these entries are rejected, There is either no flight intent (#1) or the birds are actually airborne (flying).
The ckickadee is excellent though.

We must maintain a certain quality standard here, otherwise the entire POTN will start posting their failed in-flight photos here.

and a longer exposure of a balloon deflating when weather conditions did not permit flight....

Permian, what do you think this is.....a lomography contest ? Dadaisam photography sampler for Polaroid shooters? These two are rejected.

However, the baloon is on the theme.

(at least people have heard of Dada/Dadaism, which gives me something to aspire to...even for all the wrong reasons...)
maybe you could have an "anti" sharp contest next...or an anti "good shot"...
