buying used Lowepro, can I use warranty?

so my friend is willing to sell me his used slingshot 200, for $50. I know that lowepro offers a lifetime warranty, and I want to make sure that I may use this warranty if I need to.

Does anyone know their policy with their lifetime warranty? does the original owner have the right to pass the warranty on to a buyer?

It applies to the original owner only.
