Finally got to use the filter I purchased after reading up on them on here. All the store had was a .06 soft edge Cokin at the time, I have since ordered a .09 hard edge Lee GND filter and am waiting for it to arrive.

The first image was hand held with the sun still up. The other two were longer exposures during civil twilight (?) on a tripod.

Does the water seem unreal? Sure I boosted saturation some but just a little. It seems really off color, or is it normal?

C&C appreciated. Can't wait to get the .09 filter :D

Beautiful scenes, I find the sunset tones to be really lovely, but in #2 and #3 the blue in the water looks a bit too saturated.

thanks, I think you're right as the "vibrance" feature in RSE was bumped to +7. I need to learn how to use selective saturation. In fact I need to learn how to use layers and masks and lasso tools too :D.

I hope that you do realise that you are into serious photographic waters now eh ?

I can tell from the tone of your voice what a difference you now think, the filters make in landscape photography.;)

Try to selectively saturate the scenes and live water as is usually.

You are on the right path, looking fw to some really serious landscape shots from you in the future.

I can't say anything more than what's been said. I just wanted to add that I second Elisabeth-Ann's comments. The sunset colors are showstoppers.
