I have a question about using the charger that comes with this camera. When I plug in the charger...the red light comes on. Does it go out when the battery is fully charged? Also can I get batteries for this that have a higher capacity? the manual does not say anything about these two items.

Thanks,
Tom

I have the Ixus 65, thats how this camera is named in europe.
SD630 is the usa name.

The light of the charger goes green when the battery is fully charged.

You can get higher capacity batteries on ebay from various traders.
Those higher capacity ones are no name batteries, cheaper too than original canon batteries.

Canon S70, Canon Ixus 65 (named SD630 in the usa)

Thank you. I just got it and wanted it to be fully charged before I gave it to my wife for Christmas. I had to get it wrapped before she got home last night but the light on the charger was still red. Now I'll know to charge it again after she opens it.
Thanks,
Tom
