Spider macro with G7 & LED ring light

Just playing around outside tonight and came across this itty bitty spider

G7 with LED ring light

Impressive nice shot. I like the last one the most but to me it seems to show the flash more than the others... not sure if it is a good thing or not but i like it!

Thanks I like the third one too, has more detail.

The first 2 were shot in AV mode F6.3 ISO100 @ 1/25
The last shot was in AUTO mode F3.2 ISO?? @ 1/100 (probalby ISO200)
All handheld (over my head at that)

I like the last one - the flash makes it look as though it has pupils :D Cool effect.

Agree with above #3 works well. The ring light reflection makes it look like a face.

this guy looks agressive and not afraid of anything. he's not hunched up and cowering in defense mode like a lot of these spiders in photoshoots

Phoenix LED ring light, they go for around $100 on ebay. I got this one at B&H.
