Last womens game before the break. A cold but Sunny Sunday, Stockport v Lincoln.. Still on the sigma 70-200

But I got a call from sigmaUK saying my 120-300 should be back with me this friday.. Wahay!!! :) cant wait for my extra reach and that little more DOF that should afford more impact.

Why does your focal length show 456mm for all bar the 2nd to last? I noticed this on a few of your images.

#1 would be a great image if you were in the middle of them.

#2 I like it, although I'd lose the extra lost space at the top

#3 is a nice non action sportrait

#4 I'm not a fan of close action shots. I like the compression of a photo that you only get with a telephoto. Does that make sense?

#5 Another good capture and well cropped.

Darren

I crop all my images to standard sizes.. so in this case all 7x5 and/or A4 .. Thus cant crop off the top without moving in the sides which cant do :)

I noticed that with the focul length and I have no idea.. its a sigma 70-200 with no TC or anything.. strange it shows that..

Good luck with the exhibition.

Looking at the standard of images posted in your threads then there are no worries.

erm........ womens FA cup weekend, now wheres my fixture list gone!

Like the last image in the post best, don't know why maybe it's because she's off the ground.

Yellow studs/blades.... why are all their boots so clean in the images?

Shaun

Kipax, thanks for the info on another forum about accreditation.

Nice shots.

The older non-DG Sigma shows 456mm at 200mm. In fact, anything above 140mm will show 4xxmm range.

I sent mine to Sigma for focus adjustment and rechipped but they forgot to fix the Exif mis-info. I think it just need a firmware flash.

Thanks for the encouragement and kind words re the exhibition.. However I must point out a very important thing... Its not because they think I am a top photographer (chance would be a fine thing) its more a case of right place, right time. It's somehting local which the gallery was looking for at the time (organised last july) and topical to say the least.

They have given me two rooms and 50 various sized (all bigger than a3) frames to fill.. some I have more than 1 apperture to show a story. Its taken ages to choose pictures :) and I am as nervous as hell about it :)

But whatever the reason.. it's somehting to add to my CV sorta thing :) I just didn't want you all thinking it was because they thought I was worthy.. its more the subject than me :)
