This is a Common Buzzard (buteo buteo) before all the American POTNers claim a poor ID.

You are a wonderful bird - but you have to eat worms!

Lol nice captures, and you're right Damian, when I went down to Somerset a few months ago the most common bird was a Buzzard and they were always getting a hard time from crows, Magpies etc.

Nice shots. I see the resident Buzzard on Welsh Road most days, on my way to work. Keep meaning to pull over and get some shots. I've seen her in the field a few times just beyond Two Mills.

There are a few places here in Dorset where they gather in large numbers at this time searching for worms. Always on stubble or young corn fields.

lol i see crows chasing out local buzzards all the time- i also see buzzards chasing crows occasionally lol- nice pics

Lots of them here in the South West, the most i have seen in one ploughed feild last winter was 23 eating worms.
