Leaving town late this afternoon, looked at the hedgerow at the end of a field and there was this snowy owl.It was about an hour from dark, blowing, and cold, and no mono or tripod with me so I had to shoot at iso 800. Not "great" pics but I'm happy with them. Going to go back to that area tomorrow to see if its still around. Thanks for looking.

Like 3 and 4. Had never seen owl legs before--very soft and fluffy! :/ Beautiful creatures. Picture 4 captures an interesting contrast between strength and gentleness. Well done.

Congrats on your first Snowy! I just spotted my first two of this season this weekend. Beautiful birds and you've done it justice in those first two shots...great environmentals.

Congrats of the find. I know the first time I find a species that it is new to me, the excitement usually interferes with my shooting. These are good shots and a wonderful series. You made the adjustment with what you had and the results are good. Nice going!
