The little Quasimodo Lola has been likened to a Star Wars Bar extra, a microwaved ET and such.
I think you are right, her bug eyed condition not only makes her a fine specimen for macrophotography, sadly, she could also be afflicted by a chronic thyroid disfunction.

It's called Graves Disease.(Google it) Barbara Bush has it, too, and that's what causes her eyes to bulge. It's cute on Barbara, and it's cute on Lola.

I can't remember, though. Does Barbara Bush have an overbite?

It's OK Nutkin, before I took up photography to relax my mind I used to regularly look down a camera of a different sort! I worked with a gastroenterologist and used to assist him with gastroscopy and colonoscopy daily for about 10 years! Lola is beautiful!

Treesharks aka Gray (black) Squirrels are very bad. (See the image below).

On the other hand, Puggies aka Red Squirrels are very good. They need to be loved and protected.
