Nice folks, I shop there a lot, they know me well. Camera and lens inventory is good ever since they were acquired by Penn Camera. Tripods, bags, and accessories: not so good. They will transfer anything from one store to another if you want it. The Penn Camera store in Laurel is larger, and they have more inventory.
They cater to the professional and student (art college nearby). I have tried to shop there, but I've just never felt compelled to buy from them. Maybe its just me, but they seem to have a bit of a snooty attitude. They do have a good selection of film technology (paper, chemicals, etc), but Camera Mart and Penn also have chemicals.
I've never been there myself, but I've heard its not too bad. There is, of course, the normal gaggle of Ritz stores in all the malls. But I didn't think you would seriously consider them. That's about it, unless someone knows of others. I searched out North on I95, and I thought there was a chance for something in Christiana Del, in the mall, but that turned out to be a flop. Next stop? Philadelphia, but I'd rather use B&H online than travel all that way. Hope this helps. Have Fun, Rick

ActiasLuna Hatchling 6 posts Joined Oct 2006 More info | I regularly go to Service Photo. Staff can be helpful (and they are very knowledgeable), depending on how many other customers are in there. If it's crowded you may be frustrated and feel slighted by a lack of customer service. I had a good experience there just yesterday, but I think I beat the Friday afternoon rush. I like to shop there to keep what few pro shops in town there are in business, and it's good if you need something right away. Otherwise, I go to www.bhphotovideo.com
