Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p

Nice cool color Frank. Your center foreground leads the eye down a path, hops across the water, and gets us to the building. It works, like the cool blue hues and the soft pink in the sky. Very nice.

Lovely Frank. That little clump of land leads you into the water interest, and then the sunlight takes you to the building and the skies behind.

Clean and crips colours with a nice lead in.... :) and the sun on the lighthouse finishes it off nicely.

I like it. It's difficult to get a different perspective up there other than the standard lighthouse shots. good job.

Beautiful, Frank. I love amber-toned sunrises, and you captured the colors nicely, especially with the opposing sky. The pink ribbon of sky on the western horizon that appears with that type of sunrise always appeals to me.

Very pretty shot Frank, well composed with a lead in and the colors of the sky and the structure in the background seal the composition. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Dorman for your response and comments. I was considering using a little WB shifting but figured there was enough hues in the sky to give some natural colors.

Thanks Doug. Your right, sometimes it is hard to get a better perspective over there other than the norm, but I'm starting to learn that the right light can turn a drab scene into something very interesting.

Thanks so much there Jim for your comments, but the sun is setting behind me and I'm shooting towards the East ;)...next time buddy.

OMG, Mike...what did you do to my lighthous?... Who takes away a man's lighthouse?...I don't know about you Scotts:lol:;)
Actually Mike, I put the lighthouse in the 1/3 since it was one of my main subjects. But if you like the shot without the lighthouse that's ok;)
Thanks for your time and editing buddy.

Sorry, Frank! Honestly ...... I have nothing against lighthouses!

It was just that it seemed unnaturally big compared to the wee house and I wanted to see what would happen if that house was made the key subject instead. I like the result ...... but I don't need anyone else to! Just a bit of fun! ;)
