Texsrt4 Senior Member 266 posts Joined Nov 2006 Location: nor-cal More info | Dec 20, 2006 23:58 | #1 this little bugger was about 6" long. one of my favorite snakes, very common in the area, but ones that most have never or will never see. their bellies are the same color as the ring around the neck. one of these days, i will figure out how to use this darn camera. i used too large of an aperature, and it caused part of the snake to be out of focus. good thing this wasnt a once in a lifetime shot

dont worry, he is alive. its just really cold, about 38* in the santa cruz mountains when the shot was taken. he wasnt a big fan of being disturbed, and cooperated wonderfully. got to love cold blooded animals in the winter
