Any recommendations for Cleveland photos?

I am going to be in Cleveland this weekend for the holidays, and im sure ill have plenty of time to aimlessly drive around looking for cool things to photograph. Does anyone have any good recommendations for places worth checking out? Specifically, if there are any areas of the city that are really decked-out for the holidays (lots of lights..), that would be awesome. Thanks, and happy holidays everybody!

I have a brother in Cleveland. He can't take a good photo to save his life. How's about you hit their house around dinner time on xmas and take some family photos for him so he can send me good ones for a change!?

South of the city is the Cuyahoga National Recreation Area, great for outdoor, wildlife, etc. Further south about an hour or so there is a lighting display at Bloosom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls. Google them both for more info. In cleveland go downtown by the lake and you have the Rock and Roll HOF, Browns Stadium, Great Lakes Science Center, a Frieghter ship museum, the USS Cod (WWII sub), Burke Lake Front Airport all within a mile of each other. Browns are playing Sunday, Cavs are playing Saturday.

I believe a portion of the downtown area is lit for the holidays.

Downtown has many lit-up buildings. Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea has some great buildings. It is unfortunate that the leaves are all down as many of the wooded areas around the city are great.

If you like trains, check out the Cuyahoga Valley railroad that runs from Rockside Road down through Peninsula and through Akron. If you prefer shooting industrial scenes, there's plenty of that. Lots of aged industrial sites in the Flats.

Cleveland offers the variety that you'll find in many medium-sized cities in the US. It's rustbelt for certain, with plenty of old, abandoned industry, but it's also full of updated, thriving businesses. Just take the camera and go look around. Be cautious in rough neighborhoods.
