Here is the results from my other post where someone suggested I take the color away except for the old car. Not sure if I did it right but i guess it's ok.

Good job - it works, but sure puts the emphasis on the car.

Nice, but you forgot to level it. I still think it would work best in full b/w, too.

Well, if he's going to post his edit, I'll do mine. ;) Not the same b/w effect, but leveled, b/w and cropped slightly.

Makes the car pop out. I liked the full color or all b/w better, not a big fan of the mixed bag ;) However on a technical note if you do desaturate the backround, as you did, just make sure you get the area in the widows. As it looks odd to see the green shrubery through the back passenger side window of the car.

Whoa, how about THIS! Taken just a second or two after jlg's shot:

EDIT: Looking at this shot again, it couldn't have been taken at the same time as there is way too much steam in this shot that isn't in jlg's. However, that IS the same car crossing the tracks that is in jlg's shot. Hmm....

Ahhh, I see now. With this picture, it's obvious that the position of the cars is staged.

There is no such thing as a bad "steam"shot Although I like the B&W versions more than the one with color.

I gotta say, I like the partial color, b&w, and sepia. (I'm easy)
I think the car should not have been on the tracks. Perhaps in front of the track like it was waiting for the train to pass.
Other than that--nice image(s).

The Black and White and the Sepia does it best for me. One suggestion might be to take the shot without the depot. It's too new for the kind of shot your trying to achive. Just my 2 cents.

The loco was built in 1916 and I'm willing to bet the Frostburg depot has been there as long, if not longer. Everything in the scene (except the street lights) fits perfectly, time wise.
