hints for shooting boat interiors

i am attending a boat launch party on saturday. friends have just taken delivery of a riptide 50 out of new zealand, and it's finally at our yacht club. this boat is simply gorgeous from the outside, and i want to take some impressive shots on the inside too. all carbon with wood veneers. what kind of ideas can i use so i don't walk out of there looking like i used a point n shoot? i'll have my full bag there, and i might have a 28-135 is usm by saturday as well.

Your kit lens is the widest you have...I suspect you will want to use that at 18mm....close quarters below deck on a boat...you will be wishing you had wider.

I agree. Remember, the more you tilt the cam off verticle, the more that the walls will tilt, too.
You may need to bounce some flash off the ceiling. Use RAW & blend the exposures.
