j28 I think your shot would have been even better if his nose was down a little - so that his eyes were "on camera" rather than above. love the lighting effect though.

I know what you mean, I liked it the way it was though to be honest. It wasn't a purposeful shot, I was just testing out my new Elinchrom Deep Octa in daylight to see how much it could overpower the sun.

I always admired people who could stack their puppy at such young age and then be able to take a picture of it.
I could never get mine to stack when I wanted her to and if she did it was for a milisecond. its a bit easier now.

Thanks for the kind words on my dogs, especially Stormy! It is so difficult to work German shepherd Rescue's, I want to save them all, and my heart breaks when I cannot get one out, and they put it to sleep (PTS). I want to stop doing it so I would not have to think about it, but I know that even saving one makes a difference. Anyone that lives in So. California, the shelters are overloaded with beautiful German shepherds. SO PLEASE THINK RESCUE IF YOU WANT ANOTHER DOG!! Here are a few I pulled out of a high kill shelter recently, they now have loving homes (there are many more, I am just listing a few:
