:) Alice is very pretty in her scarf! Is it just the shepherds I've had or do they as a breed in general like to dress up?

This shot is five years old, taken on vacation without any of the good gear. Other than the shadow, I've always loved this shot of Prancer (left) and Zackery in the morning sun in Grand Teton NP.

Zack's gone now, and Prancer's old, but I love how regal they look against that majestic background! And the repetition of the pointy ears always makes me laugh!

Special note: The luggage tags they're wearing have our campsite number, campground phone number, and our 800 number on them!

Definately a wall hanger.

Dont know if anyone is aware, but there is a vet in ohio who has a dry kibble especially formulated for shepherds. Heres the site should anyone be interested. No affiliation http://[URL="http://www.bestbreed.com/"]www.bestbreed.com/

Best I come across in 35yrs.

Bianchi - glad you have enjoyed it. It's the first time I've had both a great puppy and a great camera together. I can't help but chronicle. He has his own blog too :) It's in my sig.

One of our GS moving the cattle. all instinct, never trained to do so.
I owned american show , german show, and presently working bloodlines.

Every evening we feed minerals to our cows, owning 6 shepherds, each one gets a turn to move the cows for us ,so we can fill there throfts, or feed hay in the winter
When they see us going to get the minerals they begin barking, as they all want there turn, they live to work. They also guard are chciken flocks and move them if necessary.
Never any formal training, Just cant tell you how pleased we are to have the curent stock of shepherds we do, Our best ever by far.

Not the best picture... Susie was red from snow skiing the day before and focus is off. I had been running around with the GSD and was tired.
