Hi,

This is Carn and Tara playing ball on the beach. Tara (Left) is the older/dominant female and Carn (right) is the younger submissive male. Carn will pretty much beat Tara to the ball every time but when Tara says drop...

Phil, those are great photos! Does anyone in this thread have a male/female pair where the female is NOT Alpha? My two girls used to beat down my boy. He knew his place! When my first girl got old enough that he clearly was stronger, he'd still fall over at her minor slapping and let her be boss. It was funny and sweet all rolled into one.

Excellent shots Phil.

BV1DMKIIn, I'm the alpha then it's Zeus (our male), then I think my wife. The kids fall in with Isis (our female). But, when Zeus is being Zeus, Isis will attack him and drag him down. But I think he lets her do it. He's an odd one. In return he'll knock her down with his legs and give her a bite here or there to keep her submissive. When he's pissed, he'll slam her to the ground so hard I think she'll never get up again.

I think I posted this one already. Zeus is holding Isis down with one foot...

I haven't posted many shots of Maggie and Pike lately. First Maggie at the dog park ...

And Pike with ears up (second attempt at taping came off today.) I will be so glad when his fur grows back in. He looks way too much like Alf right now.

(Too close in these. He wouldn't let me back up to get his picture)

I've been wondering when you would post more. Those pics of Blaze reminded me of Pike's shots when he was that little.

He has such a sweetness in his eyes. He and Maggie are going to look stunning when he's full grown!

Thank you. He really is a sweet boy, and he and Maggie are fantastic companions. He's gotten harder to photogaph. When he was little I could get him tired more easily and he would lie there and let me take photos. Now he comes right to me as soon as I crouch down with the camera. Argh.

I can't wait to see what he's going to look like once he's out of the gangly phase :)

Blaze is amazing, isn't he?!

I looked at your pikespeek photo blog. The captioning is ALMOST as good as the subject of your photos. What a great series of shots!

Why thank you. :) I was really into posting often and then my husband lost his job in February, and I've felt less and less playful. I have tons of pictures of Pike though. Maybe I'll update the blog this weekend.

The loss of jobs is very common around here too. Tell him to stay positive. Most of the people we know who lost their jobs are still looking. But things do seem to be getting better. Just hold on. What kind of work is he in? Has he joined LinkedIn yet?

Nice pictures too!

Jon.
