Pike's black hair on his back is how Marky's was for the first few years. For a while there, the hair that ran down the very center of his back got curly! His coat seemed to transform 2-3 times over the years.

He'll only jump in the pool to go after a ball (he LOVES his tennis balls),
and if there is a float in the pool, he'll swim to that. He's a goof. :)
