I had to sign up just for this thread, some of the photo's and stories were so touching and I love seeing all these healthy dogs being cared for and treated far better than just a pet.

I've recently lost my dog of close to 13 years (not a german shepherd but nonetheless) and I wish i had some quality photos of her just like the ones you guys are producing.

I'm currently a DSLR n00b but I am ordering a 550d within the week with hopes of being able to take some quality shots like the ones here.

@ Ultimo ... I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I know it can feel like your heart has been ripped out. Hopefully a new buddy can help fill the void.
@ ions .. What a beautiful girl you have! I love the head shot!
@ istie-55 ... maybe they're underexposed?? (what's the iso on them?).. ps: nice looking shepherd!
@ Mountain-Dog... Love those shots!! It's so cool to see Jager's adventures in the high country. .. What a great companion on your scenic jaunts!! He looks satisfied at having a job of helping to carry the load. I know they like having a job. .. Gorgeous scenery & beautiful model! (last shot looks like a horse trail??).
