Ok, plenty of threads about what you wish for & giving away. This one is for telling us all what you actually got. :)

As there are time differences & we all may celebrate Christmas on different dates, I'm posting the thread now.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

I'm still waiting to check my stocking out Claire, but I'll be sure to post back when I finally get there :D

Oh... I err... well, did kind of accidently see something under the bed that looks like a lens box... but I got caught and was told to move on *sigh*
Guess I'll just have to wait for at least another 12 hours...

Hope everyone has a fabulous chrissie!

It is almost 9AM here on the morning of Christmas Eve. We always go to church Christmas Eve and then come home for a nice meal and open a few presents. The rest will be opened up in the morning.

My Christmas is always great because I get to give away things and spend time with the kids, their husbands and fiancé, and the grandkids. I have no idea what I am getting, but will post once I know.

Ugh, you guys are so lucky. Every year, and probably every year for the rest of my life, we have to open presents on christmas morning. It's really a bummer. My little sister, who has downs, LOVES christmas, so we keep it alive with the whole santa comes on christmas eve. She wakes up at five am every christmas. It's fun though.

Claire, is that the beatles love cd?

Hi Everyone!

Even though it is not yet Christmas morning here in Georgia (it's only lunchtime on Christmas Eve!), I've already gotten one gift. My husband is completely unable to keep a surprise when he is excited about it too, and the kids agreed with him, so they gave me my gift last night - an 85 f/1.8. Immediately on the camera and I have been following people around the house!

Merry Christmas!

Andrea

Danielle, yes I got the Beatles Love CD. Didn't know about it. Dad also got me a Janis Joplin double CD, he seems to have been in a 'legends' mood. hehe.

I'm done with all my gifts. Got Christina Aguilera's latest CD, a sudoko book, towels, a water kettle, Marian Keyes book and - the big surprise - a 32" flatscreen TV!!!

I kept thinking the big package was bookshelves, or if I was lucky, a bed (I'm getting my own place in a month). I was sooo stunned when I saw the tv! :D

I get nothing...

I have told everyone for the past ten years or so not to get me anything. Then I tell them if they have to get something for me, give a gift to some kids in a homeless shelter or something like that. Some of them over the past few years or so now have started to take a collection at work for toys for kids that don't get much for Xmas.

So anyone that knows me, they know what to do.

I got a couple of department store gift certificates, so I'll be hitting the stores tomorrow!

And, Pagefile, we did a similar project at work for two children who would have received absolutely nothing otherwise. They ended up having a nice Christmas with plenty under the tree. :)

liza that is so great that you and your co-workers did that.

Now tell me is that not the greatest feeling in the world? Just knowing that you made some kids happy, even if its just for a day or lasting a lifetime. What you have done I know will stay with the two kids you have given love to on this holiday.

I want to thank you for your gift to me. You just gave me a warm feeling that put a smile on my face and tears in my eyes. Thank you

Officially, I asked for nothing. But as usual, no one listens. The problem is, and my gear list is evidence, when I want something, I buy it. But, I have already received a new "floor" mattress. Due to my back, I can't sit for very long, so I lay in the family room to watch TV. My mother-in-law, bless her, bought me a new mattress. The old one was a real cheapie. My wife and her went out and found an $1100 mattress on sale for like $350, and it truly is an outstanding mattress, twin XL. I love it and I really needed it. So kind of them to go out and take care of me this way. I give my mother-in-law great gifts all the time, I expect nothing back as we are much more financially secure, but this was outstanding of her, as I probably wouldn't have gone out and shopped for it.

I ran out (sent my daughter) this afternoon and bought her a really nice digital frame and loaded it up with pictures. I already bought one for my wife for Christmas, but after seeing this, I knew I had to do something special for her also. My wife buys almost all the gifts for Christmas, so this will be up and above that. The digital frames are finally becoming affordable and getting better quality. My daughter bought the first one at Best Buy three days ago. Today, she called all over town to find one, and found only one!!! She put down her credit card number to hold it. She got there 45 minutes later and the salesperson said three other customers tried to buy it also, one even trying to bribe the clerk to sell it out from under us. lol
