Les, have you artificially blurred the background using PS in #4 & 5?

I only ask, 'cos I've just changed back to using my desktop with it's bigger/brighter LCD and noticed that the background blur appears to have blotchy pattern, as if it's some form of computer generated pattern.

Still like all the shot, just looking to learn... :D

No, particularly in 5, it's a bg pattern I've noticed with the 100-400 L lens (other photographers also), it appears to be a quirk of the lens ?

Excellent work Les - I'm a sucker for fast flowing water ( over wears, waves anything ) so the last two I especially like -'Tv' spot on for me - nice.
John's obviously in the know but IS Jack one of your dogs? he's a little cracker and I do like the extra shot of him, great timing.
Regards Alan.

Yes, Jack is one of my dogs, Jess is the other, they are my constant companions when I'm out and about :)

It's quite common to see wooden benches/seats dotted around the Dales, with dedications on, normally when someone dies, their nearest and dearest pay for a bench, usually in an area the deceased enjoyed visiting/walking.

I think 7 is my favorite. I normally like tranquil looking waterfall scenes, but the power of that image really appeals to me.

All nice shots, my fav is # 6. I like the large falls in the background and the shallow teers in the foreground.

Best Regards,
Logan
