The guy on the right still looks grumpy . . .

:D He reminds me of an early picture of the british boxer Henry Cooper ( he is old,old now)

The one side of the family was VERY tight and they did not allow you to enter their circle..I tried everything...it was not until the end of the reception the wife and sister finally danced and relaxed...I got those shots and a tiny little smirk from the dad.

Like Tim talkes about it is very important to practice and know what is required with every situation you may encounter. The more you shoot in very low light conditions the easier it will be to know exactly what is required to get the correct exposure.

You can also practice with off camera flash to get rid of the flat lighting.

Off camera flash is a flash that's not mounted on the camera. It requires additional equipment, such as a 550/580EX/ST-E2 as master and another speedlite to produce the light. You can do it with cheaper flashes and optical/radio slaves as well.

You know Tim, I saw your name by this post and kinda cringed waiting to see what you wrote....

I don't pretend to be something I am not. I have ALOT to learn..btw..I just got my book on exposure and will be reading it shortly. I have a friend who owns a photo store and he tells me I need a bracket...and a sync cord...I keep debating which I should buy next..that or the lens? We will see..

Thanks again
Smiles
Lisa...
