I'm pretty sure this is done on purpose.......Probably has an air ride system and he just drops it down on some bolted/welded on pieces to the frame rails.

Sure does make a spark show for the other people on the highway.....Which I'm sure they don't like. Wonder what they would write down on a ticket for this??

I'm pretty sure it's a reckless driving ticket, among many other violations

I used to drag my old truck, but the current one is just not quite low enough

Disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, reckless driving, driving to endanger, defective equipment. I'm sure they'd find something. :)

Bags and switches get the **** :D

When I read the title of this thread I was hoping to see somebody laying frame but I figured it'd be something else. I think a shot like this would be cool, you should probablly try it on an overcast day when you can a higher shutter speed but still have soft lighting to make the sparks stand out even more.

I don't think this would work well becuase the truck probablly shakes like crazy, but it'd be interesting to see if you could setup a rig and get rolling shots while dragging.

Like it's been said, the trucks out of focus pretty badly in the second shot and the background can be distracting. If you can find a road that doesn't see a lot of use you'd eliminate other cars in the shot and it'd be safer.

hell yes!
lowering a car till you drag your car is the way to go!
you guys should see some of the engineering that goes into a good minitruck with air ride and its suspension set up, its amazing what a private builder can do.

and back to photography, i know its a moving shot and really hard to get, but i wish you got the car in the frame.
