Scanner advice - for 35mm film capture - Epson Perfection V350

Folks,

I want to scan 35mm negs... and I've seen the Epson Perfection V350 which seems like a good buy.

I have some old archives to scan and I also want to shoot & scan B&W in the future at a not silly price.

Do any of you have anything good or bad (or any examples) to say about the Epson Perfection V350 or any other recommendations for an alternate device?
