ok just got an epson 360 printer as a stop gap to a better printer later n when funds permit!
i find that when i let printer determine colours they are pretty good to whats shown on screen, however if i let photoshop determine colours the prints come out exceedingly darker?
i turned off the driver in the printer settings..
settings used are ...
in proof settings.....the profile from epson site is used as per glossy paper
colour management.... srgb..iec-61966-2.1
in printer preview settings....document selected
..let pshop determine colours..
printer profile...set to...the profile by epson for the paper/printer(cant remember off hand the exact name?).
black point selected.
the moniter is calibrated with monico optix.

anyone any idea what setting is wrong or not set?

i know this may be confusing but will send screen grabs if that will help anyone.
thanks.

I have the rX 580 which is the same printer as yours and I printed 5 or 6 of the same photo with the same genaric glossy photo paper and compared the prints to the model ( my son ) in the same outfit and this is what I found to be the truest recreation.Color managment on with gamma 1.8 selected with cloor Mode set to Epson standard. The orints look good but I just got back from buying a spare set of ink cartrages and it cost me $ 126.00 CND that is outragous. Enjoy your printer untill you have to fill it up I think it might be cheaper to just buy another printer ( their is no aftermarket can find)
