There's a review over at photozone, not sure if it is for the current model, but should give you an idea. Keep in mind, that at this price point you're looking at a consumer grade lens, not a pro quality lens like the Sigma 70-200 f2.8, or the Canon 70-200 L series. Do some searches in this forum. The Sigma is the concensus pick in the $200 range, besting the Canon 75-300, and the Tamron entry. Also do a search with regards to your superzoom. Most will tell you you're better off with a 2 lens combo, most will tell you that 28mm is not wide enough. SIgma Zoom Super Wide Angle AF 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5 DC Macro Autofocus Lens. I know its not a telephoto and it won't get me to second base action shot but the review looked good. If I am say 100ft away from second base how big/small would the second basemen look. Fill 1/4 of the pic or less.
