Well the weather has been absolutey boring here, mist and cloud and freezing fog. Yesterday we drove, cos we've been stuck in the flat since xmas eve, down to Kochel See, where there was a fair amount of mist about. We then drove up to Walchen See where the mist was gone and the last few minutes of sun were peeking over the alps....bugger, no tripod and no filters :| but here are few of the handheld shots I did. Most at 400ISO due to the lack of light. All with 24-105 IS.

Kochel See: A fair amount of fog had frosted to the branches.

The last shot for me Neil, beautiful colors in the sky and water. Im wondering how it would look if opened up a little in the shadows.

Becasue at work I have unlimited access tot he internet, while in Munich I have an ISDN line which costs per minute and at 64K the beta would take...er...three days to download plus I would need to remember my serial number... :|....

Today not so much mist, mainly a huge sun.... :)....

The sunset, I would love to open up the shadows but getting the right balance of sky / reflection exposure means compromise. Bringing out the shadows lightens the water beyond the the sky and makes it unrealistic. :(

Der dum, der der dum.....yep....I thought Jaws too :) but I bet he would freeze is Go**ds off in that water .
