Thanks, I'll give it a shot.

By the way, have you used PS CS2? If you have, what do you see as the main advantages of Lightroom. Pricewise it's supposed to be between Elements and PS CS2.

yes, we hace cs2. they work together, neither one is a replacement for the other. They should really be bundled together if anything.

I heard people saying it looked the same... if it is the same, who is Adobe planning to market Lightroom to?

As coreypolis pointed out, LR is more than just ACR. The premise behind LR was to make a product, from the ground up, that would streamline a professional photographer's workflow as many of the other products on the market, CS2 included, fit this processing into an existing product with less than optimum results. While it will not replace CS2 for me, if it works as I think it will when it finally hits the streets, I will be using it for most of my workflow (replacing Bridge) going forward.

I'm thinking it COULD replace CS for me. I use Elements currently, and don't see myself upping to CS3 unless it given to me. Biggest downside of Elements for me is the Crippled ACR, and lack of true Curves. Lightroom could realisticly do about 95% of my PP with addition of a couple tools... and then I would use Elements for organizing and other work... All if the the Price i$ Right!
