It is still autumn here

I almost hit the Delete button when reviewing this photo. Subject is slightly backlit, background is as busy as one could ever get, there's a leave poking the subject's back.....etc. But for some reason, i decide to keep it. Maybe because it kinda tells what the season was and how the surrounding looked like when the photo was being taken.

Tell me what you think and how i can do better in the post process.

Really beautiful Fee, came out sharp and with clear colors. Perhaps clone out some leaves and twigs?...Only improvement I can think of. Beautiful capture of a beautiful bird,Well done!

Seany, i agree. I think the stick that goes thru the bill needs to be cloned out.

Very nice Fee. I like how the main branches frame the shot, not to mention the sharp capture.

It looks fantastic as it is. I wouldn't touch a thing.

Top shot Fee. I would like to see it reposted if you do decide to clone out the twig.

I would love to have this shot and i have no images of this Heron whatsoever. I like this environment/habitat and would not change it if it was mine. Nice!

Trace, although my PS skill is only at kindergarten level, it's tempting to mess with that stick.

IMO leave it as is. These guy's spend much of their time in the trees. Great capture!

it's a great shot fee. I think it would be nice without the stick, but it would need to be a very good clone job to look natural.
