for those that want to extend your Canon Remote I followed this guys instructions http://www.lukemiller.​org …e-remote-release-for.html (external link) and it worked really well. The only thing is he says that the green cable on the Adidt 'knock-offs' remote is a dud well I found out its the auto focus cable on mine. Green and white auto focus and red and white trip the shutter. I bought a 20 foot 1/8 mini plug stereo cable and it works awesome. I spent $20 on the tips and cable and $13 on the Adidt "knock-off" remote. If anyone wants to extend their canon or Adidt remote I highly recommend it....it works great.

I just did it to give me some slack...at times I want to test some new lighting technique and I have no one to shoot and I couldn't shoot myself because the cable is only like 32 inches long. This way I can use any 1/8 plug cable 6',10',20',..etc..I"m not restricted to 32"...
