Hello, left my camera on all last night, woke this morning and it was completely dead. I have read other owners saying they leave it on all the time, how come mine went dead

It shouldn't matter, even if you don't, unless you were actively taking an exposure or focusing, but I'm curious, because it should go to sleep after a few minutes of non-use. Have given it a 10 min charge and all is opk again, maybe I hadn't got it set to sleep mode ?? will have to get the manual out :0 Canon 30D with 18/55mm,Kerso 50mm 1.8 Canon 135mm f/2.8 s/f.
