I have been playing with my camera and have noticed that I can only choose "continuous" or "auto reset2 in that particular window. I cannot select manual reset, is this normal.
Also is it possible to revert everything back to 0000 so that I can start afresh.
I have also ended upo with more than one folder on my CF card, I don't particularly want this.
Thanks

Manual Reset is an "active once" type of option. When in effect, it creates a new folder and starts file numbering from 0001. It then reverts itself to either Continuous or Auto Reset, whichever one was in effect before you switched it to Manual Reset.

Either Manual Reset or Auto Reset will allow you to reset your file numbers to 0001. With Auto Reset, your file numbers will always go back to 0001 whenever you take your card out and put it back in. If you only want that to happen once, change it to Continuous after your file numbers have been reset.

If you leave it set on continuous you'll have a clue as to how many shots you've taken with the camera over time. Just format your cards on a pc if you switch them between more than one camera.

Thanks Eagle, I have it set to continuous, and have managed to simply delete the extra folders on my card using pc and also changed the folder from 007 back to 001

I use continuous, the main reason is to not have duplicate file names (up to 9999 anyway) and to keep a record of shutter actuations.
When you format the card it will clean up the folder structure and get rid of unwanted folders for you.
